Accident reporting as a public service

Cities and municipalities give citizens a guided way to document accidents right at the scene — via QR web flows, no app installation. The reports become structured data for road-safety work.

The situation

Accidents in public space leave hardly any usable data today.

Citizens document accidents in unstructured ways — notes, photos, phone calls. The municipality gains no usable picture from it.

Without structured data it stays unclear where accidents cluster — and where prevention and redesigns would have effect.

Road-safety decisions need robust, traceable data foundations.

What Crashwise contributes

From public service to road safety

Guided capture for citizens

The municipality provides guided accident capture as a service: photos, audio, documents and text, with quality checks while recording — via QR web flows, no app installation. Parties and witnesses are included directly.

Detecting accident black spots

Aggregated analysis of reports captured via Crashwise — with no personal reference — shows where accidents cluster. A data foundation for road-safety work and prevention.

Pilot

Operated in the EU

Production data is processed within the EU (primary data residency: Germany). Customer data is never used to train AI models. Role-based access and single sign-on for the administration.

By the way: police units can use Crashwise too — for guided, structured capture at the accident scene as well as for documenting damage to their own vehicles.

For public-sector clients we prepare an individual quote.
